Game Notes (pdf)

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The North Florida basketball team has the opportunity to avenge its lone Atlantic Sun Conference loss of the season on Thursday night when the Ospreys face USC Upstate at the Hodge Center.

The Ospreys (15-10, 7-1 Atlantic Sun) faced the Spartans (18-7, 5-3) on Jan. 31 at UNF Arena and dropped a hard fought 79-74 decision. The loss snapped a program record seven-game win streak for UNF. In the game, Upstate's Ty Greene connected on eight three-pointers as part of his career high 39 points while Beau Beech finished with 23 points to lead the Ospreys.

North Florida heads into Thursday's rematch following a record setting 27-point (77-50) win over crosstown rival Jacksonville on Saturday night. Against JU, UNF placed five players in double digits led by 16 from Beech and 14 for Demarcus Daniels. Chris Davenport added 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds in pacing Ospreys to a 30-19 advantage on the glass.

The Spartans are carrying a season-best five game win streak into the tilt after topping Kennesaw State by 28 points (74-46) on Saturday. USC Upstate is 11-3 at home this season but are only 2-2 against Atlantic Sun foes.

As part of the Atlantic Sun's ESPN3 on Campus initiative, Thursday's game will be part of the league's weekly package and
available online at ESPN3 as well as on the WatchESPN app.

After visiting Upstate, North Florida wraps up its weekend road trip on Saturday afternoon at Kennesaw State.
