JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The North Florida basketball wraps up its brief two-game home stand Wednesday as the Ospreys host in-town foe Edward Waters in UNF Arena at 7 p.m.

The Ospreys enter the contest at 2-0 on the season following a dominating 106-84 victory over UT Rio Grande Valley in UNF Arena. For the second consecutive game UNF connected on a program record tying 17 three-pointers including a 6-for-7 shooting performance from long distance by senior Trent Mackey and a perfect 3-for-3 outing by junior Chris Davenport. Davenport finished with 26 points while Mackey added 21 and junior Dallas Moore chipped in 23 points and handed out 10 assists.

With the victory, head coach Matthew Driscoll equalled former head coach Matt Kilcullen as the winningest coach in program history with 98 wins.

Moore leads the team this season averaging a double-double of 24.5 points and 10 assists per game thus far. He has handed out 20 assists with just one turnover in 72 minutes of play. UNF's lineup features five double digit scorers including Beau Beech (17.5), Mackey (17.0), Davenport (16.5) and Demarcus Daniels (11.0).

Edward Waters is 3-3 on the year after falling 70-67 to Voorhees College on Tuesday night. The Tigers feature a trio of double figure scorers led by Charles-Eddie Smith at 12.0 points per game.


Following the EWC game, North Florida tips off a four-game road swing Saturday against Louisville at Noon.
