GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Men's Tennis team completed Day 1 of play at the USTA/ITA Regionals in Gainesville, Fla.

"I thought all of the guys put in some good performances today. The standard of tennis today was very high and the guys did a great job of stepping up," said coach Mark Finnegan. "Each player learned some valuable lessons today that will help them moving forward."

Zach Goldberg advanced into the Round of 16 in the qualifying singles, winning his Round of 32 match 6-1, 6-2.

Alberto De Meo advanced to the Round of 32 in the qualifying singles, winning his first round match 6-4, 6-3, but falling in his second match 6-1, 6-2. Lasse Muscheites dropped his opening round match 7-6, 6-1.

The Ospreys are back in action tomorrow with Day Two of play, where Jack Findel-Hawkins, Jonathan Deautriell, Yannick Zuern, and Julian Bradley will begin singles play, while all of the doubles teams will begin play.
