Statesboro, Ga. – After managing to finish the first half of play through three weather delays on Sunday night, the match between the North Florida women's soccer team and Georgia Southern was ultimately postponed.
Â
The start of the game was initially delayed about two hours until approximately 6 p.m. After nine minutes of scoreless play, lightning struck again which sent the teams into the locker room. The teams came back out and managed to finish the first half with the score still at 0-0, but inclement weather forced the start of the second half to be delayed and ultimately postponed.
Â
There are currently no plans to make up the match. The Ospreys end their six game road trip next weekend with the South Alabama tournament in Mobile, Ala., facing South Alabama on Friday and Troy on Sunday.
