#MTEN Heads to Kennesaw State and Mercer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.— No. 71 University of North Florida men's tennis team travels to Georgia to face Atlantic Sun opponents Kennesaw State and Mercer this weekend.
"We are excited to go to Georgia this weekend and play our last road matches of the season," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "The guys are ready to finish strong and compete hard."
The Ospreys, who are on a six-match winning streak, have a 10-9 dual match record and are 3-0 in Atlantic Sun play. North Florida was 1-0 in conference play last week. The Ospreys were tied 2-2 with ETSU when the match was ultimately cancelled due to thunderstorms in Jacksonville. UNF defeated USC Upstate 5-2 on Sunday afternoon.
With the success on the weekend, Norbert Nemcsek was named Atlantic Sun Men's Tennis Player of the Week award. Nemcsek boasts an undefeated record in conference play and is 3-0 against A-Sun opponents in singles. Nemcsek grabbed a 6-0, 6-4 victory over USC Upstate's Ramon Simonetti. Prior to the Ospreys' match versus ETSU being cancelled at 2-2, Nemcsek posted the Ospreys' only singles win, beating Sebastian Yllera 7-5, 6-1.
Kennesaw State enters the match with an 8-8 dual match record and is 2-3 in conference play. In their last outing, the Owls fell 4-3 to Mercer on April 2. The Owls have four players posting over .500 records. Maksim Yorsh has an 8-3 dual match record, is 5-0 in conference play and rides six-match winning streak. The Owls' duo of Jorge Wilton and Yorsh boast a 9-2 dual record at No. 1 doubles this season.
Mercer enters the match with an 8-14 dual match record and is 2-3 in conference play. Joao Pagan and Anderson Scarpa, who are on a six-match winning streak, have a 6-4 dual match record and are 4-0 in conference play at No. 3 doubles.
The Ospreys face Kennesaw State on Friday, April 4 at 9 a.m., at Fair Oaks Park. North Florida takes on Mercer on Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m., at LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.
