
#WTEN Opens Two-Match Road Trip at Louisiana-Lafayette

 JACKSONVILLE, Fla.— No. 68 University of North Florida women's tennis team takes a two-match road trip, playing Louisiana-Lafayette on Monday and No. 70 TCU on Tuesday.

"Both of these teams are talented and compete well," said head coach Audra Cohen. "So we are going to have to bring energy to every court. We have gotten better with every match. Above all, I expect the team to continue to develop and trust their hard work will get them the results they want."

The Ospreys enter the match with a 5-1 record after a 4-3 victory over UNC Wilmington on March 1. North Florida clinched the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, followed by, singles wins at the No. 2, No. 5 and No. 6 spots. Esther Zuniga was the only Osprey to win both singles and doubles against UNCW.

Louisiana-Lafayette has a 5-8 record and is coming off a 4-1 loss to University of Texas-Pan American on Sunday afternoon. Juliette Clement goes into the match with a 6-4 dual record, and is the only Ragin Cajun with a winning dual record.

TCU opens play on Tuesday against Louisiana Tech before facing North Florida later in the day. The Horned Frogs have a 5-7 record and are 1-5 against ranked opponents, only downing then-No. 38 UC Irvine on Jan. 24. Most recently, they fell 4-3 to North Texas on March 5. Stefanie Tan enters the week ranked No. 53 in singles, having a 7-1 record at the No. 1 spot. Â
