JACKSONVILLE, Fla.—The University of North Florida women's tennis team hosts ETSU and USC Upstate this weekend at the UNF Tennis Complex. The Ospreys then head to Tallahassee, Fla., to face No. 36 Florida State on Sunday.

"We have a lot to prove this weekend and we are ready," said head coach Audra Cohen. "After our match Tuesday, our mindsets have changed and I'm excited to see if we step up or run away from the pressure."

North Florida enters the matches after going 2-0 in conference play last weekend. The Ospreys downed Florida Gulf Coast 5-2 on March 21 and Stetson 5-2 on March 22. Simona Weymar was named Atlantic Sun Conference's Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday after going 3-0 at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.

ETSU has an 8-7 dual match record, including 4-0 in conference play. The Bucs have five players posting over .500 records and three of those plays have nine wins on the season. Â

USC Upstate has a 2-14 dual match record, including a 1-3 conference record. In the Spartans' last outing, they downed Northern Kentucky 4-3 on March 22. Isabel Von Stryk holds a 10-5 record, going 8-3 at No. 1 singles and 2-2 at the No. 2 spot. Â

Florida State enters the match with a 9-7 record. In their last outing, the Seminoles fell to No. 1 Duke, 6-0 on March 23. Daneika Borthwick boasts a 9-6 dual match record, going 6-5 at No. 1 and 3-1 at No. 2 singles. Kerrie Cartwright has a 10-6 record and Mia Vriens holds a 9-3 record. In doubles, Borthwick and Cartwright teamed up for a 5-4 dual match record at the No. 1 position.

North Florida faces ETSU on Friday at 10 a.m., and USC Upstate on Saturday at 10 a.m., at the UNF Tennis Complex. The Ospreys take on FSU at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center at Noon on Sunday.

Several promotions surround the UNF vs. ETSU match. There will be a limited amount of free t-shirts given away and concessions will also be sold.
