Road Trek Begins for #MBB at Bethune-Cookman

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The North Florida basketball team begins a stretch of playing eight of its next nine games on the road Wednesday when the Ospreys visit in-state foe Bethune-Cookman at Moore Gym. The game is slated to tipoff at 8 p.m.

The Ospreys (4-3) have won three straight including a dominating 97-65 performance over Edward Waters on Monday night at UNF Arena. Against the Tigers, Beau Beech finished with a season best 25 points, going 7-10 from the three-point arc, while Romelo Banks posted a career best night with 20 points and eight rebounds.

Bethune-Cookman (2-5) has lost its last two heading into the matchup, suffering a 75-67 loss at UCF on Sunday. The Wildcats are 1-1 at home this season having defeated Trinity College in their season opener before falling to UT-Martin, 74-56, on Nov. 25.

For the season, Dallas Moore leads the Atlantic Sun and the Ospreys in scoring at 17.4 points per game. The sophomore standout was named the A-Sun Player of the Week on Monday after earning tournament MVP honors at the Cancun Challenge for leading UNF to the tournament title.
