Women's Golf 7th After Day Two of Atlantic Sun Championship

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. -- The North Florida women's golf team slipped one spot to seventh place following a second round 309 Tuesday at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship.
The Ospreys have a two-day total of 609 heading into final round action in their debut at the conference championship. Freshman Tess Huber was UNF's top performer Tuesday shooting a 76.
A pair of UNF freshmen are listed among the Top 20 individuals led by Mary Rodgers in 16th with a 36-hole total of 150 including a round of 78 on day two. Kelly Aylwin carded a 77 and is tied for 19th at 152 while Huber sits in a tie for 22nd at 153.
Another pair of rookies rounded out the Osprey lineup with Emelie Alpe tied for 24th (154) and Belinda George tied for 39th (159).
ETSU continues to lead the team competition with a two-round tally of 578, which is 11 shots in front of Florida Gulf Coast (589). Mercer is third at 592 followed by Kennesaw (594), Stetson (600), Jacksonville (601), UNF, Lipscomb (625), USC Upstate (627) and Northern Kentucky (667).
A pair of ETSU golfers - Sian Evans and Gabrielle Wahl - along with JU's Jessica Welch share the individual medalist lead with matching scores of 141 (-3).
Tournament action concludes with a final round of 18 holes Wednesday at Pine Lakes Golf Club. North Florida will be paired with rival Jacksonville at 8 a.m. off of tee No. 10.
