
Women's Golf Improves in 2nd Round at JMU Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida women's golf team improved two shots Saturday in second round action of the JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational.
The Ospreys carded a 310 and are currently 15th place with a two-round total of 622. Freshman Tess Huber led the team Saturday posting a round of 75 (+3).
Fellow freshman Emelie Alpe finished with a round of 77 and is the team's top performer in a tie for 40th at 152. Freshman Mary Rodgers also carded a 77 on Saturday and is tied for 59th at 155.
Junior Kelly Miller is tied for 76th (160) and freshman Kelly Aylwin tied for 80th (161) round out the Osprey lineup. Another pair of freshmen are playing as individuals in the event with Belinda George tied for 80th (161) and Victoria Pitenis tied for 86th (163).
Campbell leads the team competition with a score of 583, seven strokes in front of Elon (590). East Carolina is in third at 591 with host James Madison (593) and Chattanooga (597) filling out the top five squads.
North Florida concludes play at the JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational with a final round on Sunday at Eagle Landing Golf Course. The Ospreys will team with Samford and UNC Wilmington beginning at 8:40 a.m. off of tee No. 10.
