
Women's Tennis To Play Host to Cleveland State

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of North Florida women's tennis team will go for its third consecutive win on Monday afternoon, as it welcomes Cleveland State to UNF Tennis Complex for a 2 p.m. match.
In their last contest, the Ospreys took down 61st-ranked College of Charleston in a 5-2 decision. It was UNF's first win over a nationally-ranked team this season.
The Vikings enter Monday's match with a 6-5 record and are fresh off a 4-3 win at Florida Atlantic on Saturday, March 9, their first outdoor match of the season. A trio of Cleveland State players have win streaks of at least three matches, led by Nicole Janek, who has won her last four contests.
The Ospreys have multiple win streaks of their own, led by junior Simona Weymar, who has won four straight, and sophomore Taylor Hollander, who has won each of her previous six matches. Weymar and sophomore Rebeca Pereira have also won three doubles matches matches in as many attempts.
UNF has tallied a 16-9 record in doubles matches this spring, good for a .640 winning percentage, as well as a 37-17 singles record, a .685 winning percentage.
Admission to Monday's match is free to the public.
