JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of North Florida men's tennis team will begin a five-match homestand this weekend, as it welcomes UCF to UNF Tennis Complex for a 2 p.m. match on Friday afternoon.
The Ospreys are fresh off a 5-2 win at No. 54 Miami. The victory was UNF's first-ever win over Miami in men's tennis.
UCF enters Friday's contest having won five of its last six matches to lift its record to 6-4. The stretch includes home wins over Florida Gulf Coast (4-3) and Connecticut (7-0), as well as a road win at Georgia Southern (4-3). The Knights have tallied a 31-28 singles record in dual matches so far this season, good for a .525 winning percentage.
The Ospreys will look to control the match from the start, as UNF has captured the doubles point in two consecutive matches.
Last time the two teams met on the courts, in 2010, UCF emerged with a hard-fought 4-3 at UNF Tennis Complex.
Admission for Friday's match is free to the public.
