JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Second-seeded University of North Florida men's tennis advanced past Stetson 4-1 on Saturday in the Atlantic Sun Championship semifinals and will play in its first Atlantic Sun Championships title match on Sunday. The Ospreys face top-seeded ETSU – the only Atlantic Sun team to beat UNF this season – for the conference crown.

UNF, who is No. 62 nationally, got out to a 1-0 lead on the Hatters after taking the doubles point. Although Stetson claimed the first doubles match of the day with Njal Stene and Hans Adrian Riseng defeating Norbert Nemcsek and Daniel Sotomarino 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, the Ospreys claimed wins on both courts No. 2 and No. 3. Moritz Buerchner and Beauregard Treyz posted an 8-5 win over Maksim Levanoich and Chester Espie at No. 2 doubles. Leonardo Nahar and Pedro Davisson claimed an 8-6 No. 3 doubles win against Nathan Debut and Didrik Berg.

In singles, Davisson put the Ospreys up 2-0 with his 6-3, 6-3 win over Debut in the No. 4 spot. UNF then took a three-point advantage with Sotomarino's 6-4, 6-2 victory against Stene at No. 2 singles. Stetson made it a 3-1 match when Espie defeated Treyz 6-4, 7-5 at No. 6 singles. However, Nemcsek's 6-4, 7-5 win against Berg on the No. 3 court sealed the match for the Ospreys.

With UNF's win over Stetson and ETSU's 4-0 defeat of No. 5 seed USC Upstate, the top two seeds are now left to battle for the Atlantic Sun title. ETSU finished Atlantic Sun play with a 9-0 mark and are ranked No. 72 nationally. In this season's earlier match-up, the Bucs defeated UNF 4-3, getting all four of their points in singles play.
