DeLAND, Fla. – University of North Florida women's tennis wraps up a three-match road swing on Saturday morning when the Ospreys travel to Stetson for a 10 a.m. match.
UNF is coming off its fifth-straight win and its third-straight 7-0 win. The Ospreys moved to 4-0 in the Atlantic Sun Conference after shutting out Florida Gulf Coast Thursday afternoon. In doubles, Danielle Day and Melanie Aguirre picked up their seventh-straight No. 3 win with an 8-1 over Bettina Botha and Sarah Means. In singles, the Ospreys only needed two sets in order to sweep all six matches.
Stetson will be a tough challenge for UNF. The Hatters have won three-straight and are currently undefeated at home this season. Additionally, Stetson has posted 7-0 sweeps in five of their nine home matches, including shutting out its last two opponents. The Hatters picked up 7-0 wins over West Virginia on Tuesday and Jacksonville on Thursday. Stetson holds winning records in all six singles positions and two of the three doubles spots. In singles, Diana Bukajeva has won her last 10 at No. 4 and is 12-1 overall and 5-0 in the A-Sun at that spot. Lindsey Cable also brings a 10-2 overall record in at No. 5 singles, but is 3-2 in A-Sun play.
Since UNF joined the Atlantic Sun in 2006, the each team has won three matches in the series.
