Ospreys Improve at Lady Paladin Golf Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The North Florida women's golf team trimmed five shots off their opening round score shooting a second round 319 Saturday at the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman.
The Ospreys remained in 13th position with a 36-hole total of 643. UNF's all-freshmen lineup was led on day two by Kelly Aylwin's 77 (+5) performance.
Aylwin heads into the final day of competition tied for 31st with a tournament total 158. Tess Huber carded a 79 on Saturday to finish the day tied for 42nd at 160.
UNF's round one leader Julia McQuilken is tied for 53rd at 162 following her round of 84 while Mary Rodgers moved into a tie for 55th at 163 including her day two 79. Victoria Pitenis rounds out the Osprey lineup in a tie for 72nd at 174.
Tournament host Furman leads the team competition by one stroke over Chattanooga, 601 to 602, with NCAA Div. II No. 1 ranked Nova Southeastern in third at 603. The Lady Mocs' Marion Duvernay sits atop the individual medalist chart with an even-par total of 144.
North Florida concludes play at the Lady Paladin with a final round Sunday at the Furman University Golf Course. Live results are available at www.golfstat.com.
