Ospreys Remain 7th at Xavier Women's Golf Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's golf team improved by one stroke and remained in seventh place after second round play Saturday at the LPGA Xavier Invitational.
The Ospreys carded a 316 on day two for a 36-hole total of 633. Freshman Tess Huber continues to lead the way for UNF firing a team-best 77 and ending the day tied for 7th at 155.
Junior Kelly Miller posted an 80 to finish the round tied for 18th at 158 while freshman Kelly Aylwin is tied for 23rd at 159 following a second round 78. Freshman Mary Rodgers is tied for 28th at 161 and freshman Julia McQuilken is tied for 36th at 163 to complete the Osprey lineup.
Florida Gulf Coast continues to lead the team competition at 618, two strokes in front of Old Dominion (620). Mercer is third at 628 followed by Stetson (631), Bethune-Cookman (632), McNeese State (632), North Florida, Xavier (636), Daytona State (637), Louisiana Monroe (641), UAB (666), South Dakota State (680), North Dakota (701) and Northern Kentucky (706).
Mercer's Lacy Fears and FGCU's Georgia Price share the individual medalist lead with matching scores of 148.
The LPGA Xavier Invitational concludes with a final round Sunday set for a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The Ospreys will be paired with Xavier and Daytona State.
