STATESBORO, Ga. – No. 71 University of North Florida men's tennis swept doubles and won five singles matches as the Ospreys defeated Georgia Southern 5-2 on Saturday at Hanner Tennis Center.

In doubles,
Beauregard Treyz and
Julien Belair posted an 8-4 win over Matthijs Verdam and Alain Garrido at No. 1. At No. 2 doubles,
Norbert Nemcsek and
Daniel Sotomarino defeated Kyle Hoffman and Andrew Dromsky, 8-2.
Moritz Buerchner and
Leonardo Nahar recorded an 8-5 win against Daniel Rush and Sebastien Felt at No. 3 doubles.
After dropping the first set 6-4, Buerchner fought back with a 7-6 (7-4) win in the second set and then a 10-4 victory in the tiebreaking set against Verdam at No. 1 singles. Nemscek picked up a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Garrido at No. 2 singles. Nahar posted a 6-4, 6-3 win against Hoffman at No. 4 singles, while Graham Edger recorded a 6-3, 6-0 victory against Felt at No. 5 singles. At No. 6, Treyz won 6-2, 6-2 over Rush.
The No. 3 singles match between Belair and Albert Codina Sala was a marathon. Belair took the first set 6-4, but Codina Sala evened it with a 7-6 second set win. However, Codina Sala took the tie-breaker 18-16 for Georgia Southern's only point.
UNF returns to action on Feb. 10 against Barry. Match time is scheduled for 11 a.m., at the UNF Tennis Center
