JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida women's tennis team fell to non-conference opponent UCF, 6-1 on Thursday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex in Jacksonville, Fla.
UNF (12-5) dropped the doubles point to the Knights (9-7) to start the match. The Ospreys claimed one win in doubles as Aline Berkenbrock and Simona Weymar teamed up to defeat Genevieve Lorbergs and Courtney Griffith, 8-4 in the No. 1 match.
The Ospreys secured a point in the No. 4 singles with Melanie Aguirre claiming a win. Aguirre defeated Jenna Doerfler, 7-5, 7-6 (8-6).
UNF will return to the court on Saturday, April 9, making the short crosstown trip to face Atlantic Sun rival, Jacksonville. The match is set for 10 a.m.
