
Women's Soccer Drops Season Opener at USF

The Bulls used a pair of late first half goals to gain the momentum before adding two goals in the second half en route to earning the victory in the official debuts for both squads.
USF struck first with a goal in the 34th minute by Venicia Reid. The Bulls added a second goal with just over two minutes to play in the first half (42:43) to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break. Reid connected with teammate Sharla Passariello in the 59th minute giving USF a 3-0 advantage. Noelle Piniero found the net on a free kick from just outside the box for the final goal of the match in the closing minutes.
A trio of UNF players recorded shot attempts in the season opener with Vladana Petricevic and Kathryne Husted each putting a shot on goal. USF's Chelsea Klotz led all players with eight shots on the night.
