Four new Lady Ospreys join the lineup for next season

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida Ospreys are proud to announce the addition of some new talent for the 2009-2010 track season. These new athletes will bring some new talent to a team going into its first full season of NCAA Division I competition when they enroll as freshmen next year.
Shelby Kittrell will come to UNF from FernandinaBeachHigh School and is a distance runner. As a Lady Pirate she took third place at the 2008 FHSAA 2A District competition in the 800m.
Melanie Novak is a long-distance runner from BartramTrailsHigh School in St. Johns, Fla.Her best times running for the Bears include 18:34 in the 5000m, 11:17.57 in the 3200m and 5:14.15 in the 1600m.
Brooke Nebel is a middle and long-distance runner from SpruceCreekHigh School in Port Orange, Fla. As a Lady Hawk Brooke has earned numerous honors, including a first-place finish in the district championships in the 800m last year, a fourth-place finish in the 800m at the state championships and making the national qualifiers.
Brenna Mathis will come to UNF from Spruce Creek and is a middle-distance runner. She has a time of 57.87 in the 400m and finished third for the Hawks at the regional track championships. She was also a national qualifier in the 4x800m relay.
