TROY, Ala. – The University of North Florida women's soccer team topped Troy in an overtime thriller Friday night, 2-1, at the Troy Tournament, with senior Elena Luzins and junior Kristin Rhodes scoring goals for the Lady Ospreys.

UNF (3-3-1) sported a one goal lead at the half after Luzins scored an unassisted goal, her first of the season, in the 39^th minute. The Lady Ospreys took seven total shots on Friday, each on goal.

Though managing only three shots on goal in the contest, Troy (5-1-2) quickly evened the score after halftime when, in the 49^th minute, Mary Morris took a pass from Jenny Smith and scored her fifth goal of the season.

Three minutes later, UNF junior Katelin Swift received a yellow card before another yellow card led to her ejection in the 64^th minute. Despite being one player short for the remainder of the match, the Lady Ospreys held the Trojans scoreless for the rest of regulation, forcing overtime.

The Lady Ospreys did not stop their stout defense at the end of regulation, blanking Troy through seven and a half minutes of overtime. In the 98^th minute, Rhodes netted the game-winner, her first goal as a Lady Osprey.

The match featured 30 total fouls, 16 on UNF and 14 on Troy. Five yellow cards were handed to UNF players, compared to none for Troy.

UNF finishes play in the Troy Tournament on Sunday with a 1 p.m. match against Alabama A&M.
