
UNF heads to Davidson

The University of North Florida swimming and diving team will head to Davidson this weekend for its first meet of the season that extends more than one day. The Lady Ospreys will compete at the Davidson Invitational for the second year in a row Friday through Sunday.
UNF finished fourth in last year's event.
The Lady Ospreys are 2-1 on the season after splitting their first home meet last weekend. UNF defeated Florida A&M 203-11, but fell to College of Charleston 151-91.
UNF won its opening meet of the season, defeating Campbell 133-72.

UNF Notables: UNF head coach Beth Harrell welcomes 11 freshmen to her squad this season, along with one sophomore transfer ... Justine Kane and Maria Bianchi are a pair of freshmen that have proven they can compete early for the Lady Ospreys ... Kane's time of 2:14.17 in the 200- butterfly at UNF's meet last weekend inserted her into UNF's all-time top 10 in that event ... she also had a first-place finish in the 100-butterfly and a second-place finish in the 200-butterfly at Campbell ... Bianchi had a win in the 200-IM at the College of Charleston/FAMU meet ... Krysten Nemecek also captured a win in the 200-breastroke at that meet ... Lindsey McKelvey was .33 seconds off of a personal best time in the 100-freestyle in the College of Charleston/FAMU meet.
