Lady Ospreys drop first two matches of the season

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 5, 2005) - The University of North Florida women's tennis team suffered its first two losses of the season on Friday and Saturday, dropping close matches to No. 14 Columbus State and No. 3 West Florida on the road, both 5- 4.
The Lady Ospreys fell to 6-2 overall and 2-1 in Peach Belt Conference play.
"Both matches were hard fought, and we just couldn't pull out the victories," UNF head coach Tom Schrader said. "Losing doubles hurt us against Columbus State, and singles did us in against West Florida."
UNF will continue conference play on Sunday, March 6 against UNC Pembroke. The match will begin at 3 p.m. at UNF Tennis Courts.
