UNF Ends Regular Season with 4-3 Win Over Memphis

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The University of North Florida men's tennis team ended the regular season with a 4-3 win over Conference USA's Memphis on Sunday in Murfreesboro, Tenn. at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.

The Ospreys (18-7) secured the match with four wins in singles play after losing the doubles point early. Freshman Moritz Buerchner scored for the Ospreys at No. 1 with a hard-fought three set match against Jordan Smith. Buerchner defeated Smith with scores of 3-6, 7-5, 6-1.

Freshman Taylor Albrecht had a win over Charlie Ramsay at No. 3 with scores of 6-4, 6-1 while fellow freshman Leonardo Nahar defeated John Taylor, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4.

At No. 5, junior Graham Edgar secured a point for the Ospreys with a 6-3, 6-5 victory over Michael Gaerthoeffner. Edgar is 10-5 in singles action this season.

The Ospreys will be back in action April 15-17 at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in DeLand, Fla. hosted by Stetson University.
