Another summer amateur tournament, another strong performance by a University of North Florida golfer as junior Major Forbess never wavered from a three-shot lead he held at the beginning of the day and, with a closing 70, won the Jacksonville Area Golf Association Amateur Championship Sunday at 9-under-par 279 at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club.
