JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida men's tennis team fell to No. 54 USC Upstate, 6-1 on Friday afternoon in Atlantic Sun Conference action at the UNF Tennis Complex.

The Spartans (14-5, 6-0 A-Sun) picked up the doubles point, winning two of the three matches over the Ospreys (14-5, 5-2 A-Sun). UNF won the No. 2 doubles as freshman Daniel Sotomarino and junior transfer Hleb Maslau defeated Marco Linconir and Jack Roux, 8-0.

Sotomarino picked up the Ospreys single point with a hard-fought 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 win over Renzo Airaldi in the No. 2 singles.

Freshman Taylor Albrecht battled Roux to three sets at the No. 4 before falling 6-4, 5-7, 11-9.

The Ospreys will be back on the court on Saturday, March 27 when they host Campbell at 1 p.m.
