Rob Manosca joined the North Florida volleyball staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2022 season, bringing with him decades of experience as a player and coach within the game of volleyball.
The Jacksonville, Fla., native brings in over a decade of experience coaching the game of volleyball, having stints at the Division II, club and junior college level as an assistant and head coach.Â
After earning his associate's degree from the Florida State College of Jacksonville, Manosca had a standout career as a setter at the State University of New York - New Paltz. Manosca is tied for the program record for assists in five-set match with 73, while owning the four set and three-set single match record for helpers with 74 and 55 respectively. The successful setter is second in program history for assists in a season and assists in his career. He is just one of three student-athletes from SUNY New Paltz to eclipse 3,000-career assists.Â
A hot yoga enthusiast, Manosca also worked as the owner and one of the instructors at Bikram Yoga in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., for over 12 years.Â
Where are you from?
I'm from Jacksonville. I grew up here, went to elementary and high school here and attended FSCJ.
What/Who is Your Greatest Inspiration
My biggest inspiration is my parents. Being immigrants here, they worked very hard to allow me and my siblings to have opportunities for a productive and better life.Â
What is Your Favorite Quote

What is Your Passion?
Volleyball is my passion. Through my years of playing, I have had great coaches who impacted and helped me gain the knowledge to better understand the game. So, coaching volleyball is very rewarding and inspiring as I aim to impact and motivate student-athletes to reach their full potential.
