Former North Florida soccer player Lisa Taylor joined the Osprey staff as assistant coach in May of 2014.
Taylor, a former defender at UNF from 2003-2007, returned to her alma mater following a three-year stint as an assistant coach at Virginia Wesleyan College (2011-14).
While at Virginia Wesleyan, Taylor helped lead the Marlins to a 48-11-3 overall record and NCAA Tournament appearances in three consecutive seasons (2011, 12, 13). Her coaching experience also includes working as a volunteer assistant at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
A four-year letterwinner for the Ospreys, Taylor sported the Blue and Gray in 71 games earning 57 starts in her career. She finished with seven goals and two assists as a defender and helped UNF to a 51-38-9 record during her playing days. Off the field, Taylor was a consensus Academic All-Conference performer earning the recognition from both the Atlantic Sun and Peach Belt Conferences during her career.
Following her playing career at UNF, Taylor also spent a season playing professionally for FFC Wacker Munchen in Munich, Germany before beginning her coaching career.
A 2007 graduate of UNF with a degree in communications, Taylor holds both national diploma and license and advanced diploma and license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
She is a native of Ormond Beach, Fla., and enjoyed a decorated prep career at Spruce Creek High School.
