Coach Wright on Kelly
"Kelly will bring a wealth of maturity and add tremendous strengths to our already advanced and established setting arsenal. I love the cultural aspects Kelly will bring to our training sessions and team cohesion as a whole. She is a multi-year starter and proven player in the NCAA, serving as a puzzle piece we've been needing as we strive to accomplish our mission next fall. Why UNF?
"The answer to this is very simple: volleyball and family. Doing my undergraduate degree at UC Irvine was an awesome experience where I had the opportunity to meet some of my best friends and play for a high level program. However, there was one thing missing, family. For my last year of eligibility I was looking for a great volleyball program that was closer to home. Committing to UNF will give me the opportunity to see my family more than once a year, while playing for some of the best volleyball coaches and teammates. I am very excited for next year and I cannot wait to get there, complete and win the conference!"Â -- Kelly Negron
2023 (As a Graduate)
- Logged 113 sets played across 32 matches
- Was productive in the 6-2 rotation, posting 283 assists
- Had 37 aces and 190 digs
- Posted a double-double in her UNF debut, notching 20 assists and 10 digs
- Added 15 assists and five digs against New Mexico State
- Went for 34 assists and 15 digs at Stetson Sept. 22
- Twice went for three aces
Honors and Statistics
- Logged 317 sets and 85 matches at UC Irvine, surpassing 2,000 assists while dropping in 54 aces
- Was also impactful on the defensive side of the game, posting 748 digs at 2.36 digs/setÂ
- Had a career-high 56 assists at Cal State Fullerton Nov. 2, 2019
- Broke the 50-assist marker three times during that season
- Notched 37 double-doubles during her career at UCI
- Earned Big West Freshman of the Week honors Sept. 9, 2019
- Two-time first team all-conference pick in high school
- Helped Trabuco Hills advance to the CIF Division 2 finalÂ
- Earned Orange County Register First Team All-County honors
- Made the Puerto Rican National Team

- Has two siblings, Ashley (30) and Cristina (28). Ashley played volleyball at Recinto Universitario de Mayaguez. Cristina played at Graceland University.
