JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Women's Soccer earned its first ASUN Conference win of the season defeating Lipscomb, 1-0, on Sunday, Sept. 27, at Corporate Traffic Logistics Field at Hodges Stadium for Head Coach Eric Faulconer's 300th career win.
North Florida threatened in the first half of play with fifth year forward/midfielder Paige McSwigan tacking on a shot on goal in the 21st minute, and sophomore forward Chandler Browning firing off a shot on goal in the 33rd minute.Â
The game remained scoreless at the break with both teams tacking on six shots and two shots on goal.
Junior forward Allison Souers led the Ospreys offensively with four shots in the first half of action. Â
North Florida would grab the lead in the 49th minute off a game-winner from junior midfielder Morgan Guillemette off a double assist from senior defender Zoe Looker and junior midfielder Taylor Tamares. For Guillemette, it marked her third collegiate goal and first collegiate game winner.
Miliancano would secure five saves to earn UNF's first shutout of the season. For Miliacnano, it also marked her seventh collegiate match with at least five saves.
Overall, 18 Ospreys logged action with four players each playing the full 90.
North Florida hits the road for four-straight road matches taking on West Florida at UWF Soccer Complex in Pensacola, Fla., on Thursday, Oct. 1. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
