JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida Men's Soccer handled Trinity College of Jacksonville, 3-0, on Senior Night at Corporate Traffic Logistics Field at Hodges Stadium on Tuesday night.

North Florida improved to 6-3-1 on the season. The Ospreys have won six of their last seven matches.

North Florida honored 15 seniors – 13 student-athletes and two staff members – prior to the match.

North Florida dominated the final third of the pitch and notched six shots in the initial 10 minutes of action, including a saved shot on goal from senior midfielder Anton Khelil.

Senior defender Ryuta Morioka netted his first goal at North Florida off assists from sophomore midfielder Cameron Gray and senior midfielder Tyler Prebenda to secure a 1-0 lead in the 31st minute. It marked the first assist of the season for Gray and Prebenda.

North Florida led 1-0 at the half. North Florida outshot its visitors 17-0 after the initial 45 minutes.

Senior Mark Romano netted his team-high fifth goal of the season with a strike in the 50th minute to extend the lead to 2-0.

Senior defender Tarik Freire notched his first goal as an Osprey with a banger outside the 18-yard frame off assists from sophomore midfielder Kadin Sadiq and freshman midfielder Nicholas Tafurt to make it 3-0 in the 73rd minute.

20 Ospreys logged action, while senior goalkeeper Akash Poola, sophomore forward Tyler Tilden, freshman forward Robert Calazans and Sadiq made their season debuts.

North Florida outshot its visitors 44-0 and 17-0 in shots on goal.
