JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of North Florida Men's Soccer defeated Stetson, 1-0, at Corporate Traffic Logistics Field at Hodges Stadium on Saturday night.

North Florida improved to 7-3-1 on the season and 4-0-0 in ASUN Conference action. It marks the first time since 2016 that North Florida has started 4-0-0 in conference action. The Ospreys have won seven of their last eight matches.

It marked the second-straight and fourth shutout of the season for North Florida.

North Florida outshot its visitors 5-0 through the initial 15 minutes of action. Senior defender Tarik Freire notched a shot on goal in the 15th minute.

North Florida held a 6-4 advantage in shots at the half. The score remained level at zero entering the locker room.

Freshman forward Emir Trto delivered the game-winning goal in the 70th minute. It marked the second goal of the season for Trto. Trto earned his first career start in the match.

North Florida finished with a 14-11 advantage in shots. 15 Ospreys saw action and seven different players played the full 90 minutes.

North Florida closes out its four-match homestand when it hosts Central Arkansas on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
