STATESBORO, Ga. – North Florida Volleyball swept Fordham, 3-0, in its first match of the Eagle Invitational at Hanner Fieldhouse on Friday.

It marked the second sweep of the season for North Florida.

Third year outside hitter Dakota Spurrier and fourth year Kaili Doctor each posted a team-high 12 kills. Spurrier has posted double-digit kills in eight of 10 matches, and Doctor has reached the mark in all matches.

Doctor totaled a season-high three aces.

Second year outside hitter Leah McDonald posted a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs. It marked the third-straight match for McDonald with double-digit kills.

Second year setter Sofia Dawson tallied a team-high 36 assists. Fourth year middle blocker Yarimar Francis Garay posted seven kills on 10 attacks for a .700 hitting percentage.

Four year libero/defensive specialist Emma Pohlmann notched 13 digs.

NORTH FLORIDA 3, FORDHAM 0 (27-25, 25-20, 25-22)

SET ONE
North Florida raced out to a 4-0 lead from first serve. North Florida reached its largest lead of the set once more when it led 15-11 at the media timeout after a kill from Yarimar Francis Garay. Doctor added a kill and an ace to put North Florida ahead 25-24. A kill from Dakota Spurrier secured set point. McDonald totaled five kills on a .417 hitting percentage in the set.

SET TWO
North Florida went on a 3-0 run to push its lead to 14-9 on back-to-back aces from Doctor. Doctor reached a season-high three aces in the set. Francis Garay posted six kills on seven attacks for a .857 percentage at the midway point in the set. A kill from Lily Rodgers secured set point.

SET THREE
North Florida led 18-12 in the set. Second year middle blocker Haleina Bowers notched a kill to extend the lead to 7-4 and force a timeout. Spurrier notched her 10th kill of the match to extend the lead to 15-10. North Florida notched its second sweep of the season on a kill from McDonald.
