Women's Soccer Battles To A Draw Against College Of Charleston, 1-1

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Women's Soccer battled to a draw, 1-1, against the College of Charleston on Thursday, Aug. 27, at Corporate Traffic Logistics Field at Hodges Stadium.
The Ospreys threatened early with sophomore defender Skya Horth firing a shot off the top cross bar in the eighth minute, and sophomore defender Marisa Ocasek contributing a shot on goal that was saved by the keeper in the 13th minute.
The contest would remain scoreless at the break with North Florida limiting the College of Charleston to just one shot on goal.
North Florida would break the scoreless tie with a goal from junior midfielder Morgan Guillemette off an assist from junior midfielder Brooke Susi. For Guillemette, it marked her first collegiate goal. Susi's assist was her first assist of the season and third assist of her career.
The College of Charleston would respond with a goal of its own in the 88th minute to reach the eventual final.
UNF would limit the Cougars to just a pair of shot on goals in the contest.
Overall, 20 Ospreys saw action with four Ospreys logging the full 90 minutes.
North Florida will take on Alabama A&M in Huntsville, Ala., for the first of three road matches on Thursday, Sept. 3. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET.
