
Women's Golf Selected To Tallahassee Regional In NCAA Championship

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Women's Golf is slated for its fifth team NCAA Championship Regional appearance when it competes in the Tallahassee Regional, hosted by Florida State, held at Seminole Legacy Golf Club on May 11-13th.Â
It marked the first team NCAA Championship Regional appearance for North Florida since 2022. The Ospreys also advanced to the NCAA Championship Regionals in 2016, 2017, 2021 and 2022.Â

North Florida earned automatic qualification when it claimed its fourth ASUN Championship title in program history at the 2026 ASUN Championship at Dothan Country Club in Dothan, Ala. on April 19.Â

Junior Brianna Castaldi claimed the program's first ASUN Championship Individual title with a three-stroke lead over the remainder of the field at 9-under 207 (67-67-73).Â

Three Ospreys – freshman Ava Cottis, sophomore Braydn Smith and Castaldi – all carded career-best round scores at the ASUN Championship. Four Ospreys ranked inside the top-seven and all five Ospreys ranked inside the top-25 at the ASUN Championship.Â

North Florida set the lowest 54-hole team score and lowest 54-hole team score to par with a 20-under 844, over eight strokes better than the previous record set in 2021. It marked the seventh-largest margin of victory over the field in ASUN Championship history.Â

In addition to the team score record, North Florida set the ASUN Championship record for the lowest team 18-hole round score and lowest team 18-hole round score to par with an 18-under 270 in Round 2, which also marked the lowest team Round 2 score. North Florida also set the lowest team Round 1 score and lowest Round 1 score to par with a 10-under 278. Castaldi set the ASUN Championship record for the opening round score with a 5-under 67 in Round 1.

Redshirt junior Kaitlyn Schroeder and Castaldi earned First Team All-ASUN honors, while freshman Ava Cottis collected ASUN All-Freshman Team honors.
