
Andreas Scott Named 2026 ASUN Preseason Player of the Year

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Graduate student Andreas Scott has been named the 2026 ASUN Preseason Player of the Year and to the 2026 Preseason All-ASUN Team as announced by the Atlantic Sun Conference on Tuesday.Â
In the spring 2025 season, Scott was named the 2025 ASUN Player of the Year after posting a 13-9 singles record highlighted by an 8-0 mark in ASUN play. He earned 2025 ASUN Doubles Pair of the Year recognition alongside Bruno Vietri after the pair boasted a 7-1 doubles record with a 4-0 mark in ASUN play. Scott ended the season with an 11-match win streak in singles and a six-match win streak in doubles play and was recognized 2025 First Team All-ASUN.
"Andreas [Scott] has been working hard, and he has been very focused on improving his game," Head Coach John Collins said. "I'm excited to see him reach new levels this season and I'm looking forward to seeing our team as a whole take tremendous strides after last year."

In the spring of 2024, Scott helped North Florida post an undefeated record in conference play and capture the program's third ASUN Championship title. Scott earned a 14-7 record in singles play highlighted by an 11-0 mark on the fifth court. He boasted a 7-0 ASUN mark in singles play at the number four and number five positions. Scott held a 13-5 record in double play and a 4-2 mark in ASUN play alongside Breno Marques. He was named 2024 ASUN Tournament MVP and to the 2024 ASUN All-Tournament Team for his performances against North Alabama and Stetson.
In the spring of 2023, Scott posted a 12-6 record in singles play and a 5-2 mark in ASUN play to earn 2023 ASUN All-Freshman Team honors. He garnered an 8-4 mark at the number six position. Scott boasted a 12-6 record in doubles play alongside Breno Marques.Â
Off the court, Scott was named 2025 ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year, 2025 ASUN All-Academic Team, 2024 CSC Academic All-District, a two-time selection to the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team and a three-time selection to the ASUN Academic Honor Roll.
North Florida will begin its 2026 dual season in Columbia S.C. on Jan. 11, when it takes on South Carolina at 10 a.m. and The Citadel at 1 p.m.
