
Men's Tennis Falls On The Road To FAU

BOCA RATON, Fla. – North Florida Men's Tennis fell on the road to FAU, 5-2, at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center on Thursday.
Prior to FAU clinching the doubles point, sophomore Jean Deloziere and sophomore Joao Portugal battled to a doubles win, 7-5, on court three. Graduate student Breno Marques earned his first singles win of the spring with a 6-2, 6-0, triumph on court three.
After dropping set one on a tiebreaker, Portugal responded with a tie breaker win in set two and a super tie breaker on court four to win the match, 6-7(2), 7-6(4), 1-0[8]. For Portugal, it marked his third-consecutive singles win to begin the spring season. North Florida will remain on the road to face Miami in Coral Gabels, Fla. on Saturday, Jan. 17 at 10 a.m.
