JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Kaitlyn Schroeder started her redshirt junior campaign off on a high note by bringing in the season's first ASUN Golfer of the Week honor for North Florida women's golf, as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.
This is the third time in her career that she has been awarded ASUN Golfer of the Week and the first time this season after her fantastic debut to the 2025-26 season at the Boilermaker Classic. All three of Schroeder's weekly ASUN honors have come during the fall season after being recognized in back-to-back events in October 2024.
Schroeder becomes the eighth UNF golfer in program history to receive three or more ASUN Golfer of the Week recognitions. This is also the first time that an Osprey has won the season's first weekly conference award since Wyndom Burnett accomplished the feat in 2022.
"It was a nice way for her to start the year," Director of Golf
Scott Schroeder said. "We hope that she can build on this performance moving forward."
Schroeder and the Ospreys continue their fall season with their annual trip to compete at the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman from Sept. 19-21 in Greenville, S.C.
