
Men’s Soccer Blanks Jacksonville In ASUN Opener, 1-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Soccer extended its win streak to six matches with a River City Rumble win at Jacksonville, 1-0, in its ASUN Conference Opener at Southern Oak Stadium on Saturday night.
With the win, North Florida has won six-straight matches and improves to 7-3 on the season. It ties the program's longest unbeaten streak of the Division I era. The six-straight wins are the most in the program's Division I era.
North Florida and Jacksonville traded opportunities in the final third through the initial 15 minutes of action, but it remained leveled as each side settled into the match.Â

Redshirt junior Luciano Natoli made a crucial first-half save off a Jacksonville free kick in the 27th minute to keep the score leveled at zero. Natoli notched five saves and posted his fifth clean sheet of the season and the ninth of his career in 90 minutes in goal.Â

The five shutouts for Natoli marks a single-season career high.Â

Redshirt senior forward Jaxon Reinhardt flashed in the goal area and netted his fourth goal of the season off an assist from senior defender Jaylen Yearwood in the 37th minute to take a 1-0 lead. It marked the fourth assist of the season for Yearwood.Â

Overall, 17 Ospreys logged action. In addition to Natoli, sophomore midfielder Rafa Rios, senior defender Alex Barnett, senior defender Jaylen Yearwood, junior defender Paul Schacherer and junior midfielder Tyler Prebenda played the full time.Â
