GREENWOOD, Ind. - North Florida track & field totals five selections to this year's College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the national organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Aidan O'Gorman,
Robert Pedroza and
Onix Ortiz Vazquez represent the Osprey men's athletes as three selections onto the CSC All-District Team.
Smilla Kolbe and
Nicole Shepherd earned a pair of selections on the women's side with stellar accolades throughout the 2025 season.
Three selections for the UNF men's squad is tied for the most in a single year during the 2023 season.
Robert Pedroza and
Onix Ortiz Vazquez each received their first-career CSC selections, while
Aidan O'Gorman tied Nathan Jubran for the most in UNF history with three total.
For the women's team,
Nicole Shepherd took home her first-career national academic honor from CSC, while
Smilla Kolbe goes back-to-back seasons named Academic All-District. The three-time NCAA All-American selection was named CSC Third Team Academic All-America in 2024 and looks to repeat the distinction later this month.
The 2025 CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's finest student-athletes in and out of the classroom. Honorees advance to the All-American round, with CSC Academic All-America Team selections released from July 15-16.
About the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Award
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 15-16, 2025.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
