JACKSONVILLE. Fla. – North Florida baseball fell at Jacksonville, 15-4, in game two of the River City Rumble series at John Sessions Stadium on Friday night.
The Dolphins opened the scoring with a six-run first inning and added three more runs in the second to take a 9-0 lead.
North Florida plated its first two runs in the third inning with a bases-loaded RBI walk by senior
Cade Bush and a RBI base hit to left from senior
Connor Moore that cut the deficit to 9-2. Jacksonville then answered with one run in the bottom of the third to extend the margin back to 10-2.
North Florida looked to mount a comeback in the fourth inning behind a two-out, two-run home run off the bat of senior
Jabin Bates that made it 10-4. Jacksonville added three runs in the bottom of the fourth and two more in the fifth inning to bring the count to its final margin.
