JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball continued its scorching start to conference play with back-to-back wins against Stetson to keep an undefeated ASUN start on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys grabbed two more wins against Stetson to be 5-0 against them on the season. After a comeback win in the first game, UNF came back with vengeance with a run-rule victory in five innings after a walk-off RBI single from
Marley Nagy.
Down by a score of 3-0 in the first game,
Grace Shaw-Rockey and
Chloe Culp smashed consecutive solo homers to cut the deficit to one run. After the game was tied at three runs a piece,
Kirsten Caravaca put the ball over the fence for a three-run bomb.
In the second game, the Ospreys jumped to a three-run lead through three innings, followed with a five-run frame in the fourth. Shaw-Rockey continued to stay hot from the plate in the second game with two hits, including in the fifth inning to set up the game-winning score.
