UNF Athletics Celebrates Student-Athlete Achievements at The Ozzies '25

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Athletics celebrated the various achievements of its student-athletes in and out of the classroom with the sixth edition of The Ozzies hosted at UNF Arena.
The ceremony featured a pre-show with photo opportunities, food and music before student-athletes were honored for their achievements. The event was hosted by Mia O'Brien featuring a variety of speaking opportunities and videos.
Award winners were nominated based on their achievements, statistics and through collaboration between coaches, sports administrators, strategic communications staff and senior staff. Nominees were selected as winners via a voting period accessible via social media last week.Â

Manny Velasquez Perseverance Award: Ethan Ash (Men's Soccer)
Best Individual Female Performance: Smilla Kolbe Advances To NCAA Indoor Championship
Best Individual Male Performance: Men's Soccer Wins ASUN Championship
Female Breakthrough Athlete of the Year: Kelsey Vogel (Softball)
Male Breakthrough Athlete of the Year: Seth Martinez (Cross Country / Track & Field)
Female Newcomer of the Year: Kaitlyn Schroeder (Women's Golf)
Male Newcomer of the Year: Anton Khelil (Men's Soccer)
Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Smilla Kolbe (Cross Country / Track & Field)
Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year: Aidan O'Gorman (Cross Country / Track & Field)
