Men's Tennis Falls in ASUN Semifinals to No. 1 North Alabama

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 5-seeded North Florida men's tennis fought hard by forcing five of the six singles courts into a third set, but it wasn't enough to overcome No. 1 North Alabama, 4-2, early Friday afternoon at UNF Tennis Complex.
Andreas Scott and Bruno Vietri, who was recently named ASUN Doubles Pair of the Year, extended its undefeated mark against conference opponents with a 6-2 win on the top court. The lower pair of courts were unable to secure the doubles point heading into singles play.
Vietri added a straight-set sweep for the first singles point to tie the match at 1-1. A comeback three-set victory from Scott brought the margin to 3-2 later in the match, but court five clinched the team win for UNA to advance to the tournament final.
