JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida baseball continues its road trek through the Southeast region with a midweek non-conference matchup against Georgia Southern on Wednesday, Mar. 26, with first pitch set for 6 p.m., in Statesboro, Ga.
Last Time Out
The Ospreys are riding a four-game winning steak after a stretch of road wins, starting with a Tuesday midweek game against Bethune-Cookman. They traveled to Queens for their debut road weekend series in ASUN play and swept the Royals on their home field. Carter White and Cade Bush were hot from the plate combining for three home runs over the first two games of the series. Kaden Humphrey shut the door in the series finale during the top of the ninth to secure the two-run victory and the road sweep.
Scouting Georgia Southern
Georgia Southern goes into Wednesday with a 14-9 overall record while also riding a four-game win streak heading into the midweek. They are fresh off a sweep of Appalachian State this past weekend, plus a one-run victory against Kennesaw State with all four games at home. Sean Smith is the player to look out for on the Eagles with the team-leading batting average at .446, as well as a whooping nine home runs.

With five of the 13 wins on the road against the Eagles, UNF looks to extend their current road win streak to five games, while also picking up its first win in Statesboro, Ga., since 2015.
