PIGG'S POINTS

"We had another very productive day in Gainesville. Smilla ran a blazing 800m. She went out in pace and crushed the race. She is confident and very fit. This mark has always made it to the NCAA indoor finals. Celine [D'Anna] ran a huge personal-best in the 400m. She works so hard and it is great to see her continue to make big jumps. Women high jumpers looked very strong again, as we have come to expect. Jonathan [Bailey] ran a notch faster to improve our school record. His start is amazing and he just keeps improving. William [Owens] ripped another 200m to back up his early season run. I'm really proud of him. Aidan [O'Gorman] ran a nice personal-best just missing the 4-minute barrier in the mile. Robert [Pedroza] and Aiden [Arnold] both ran very well for us to sweep the mile. Robert's double was very solid and he is coming into high fitness. Seth [Martinez] doubled back and ran a very nice 3000m for the win. Paul [Lespasio] ran a very nice 5000m for the win as well. He is growing into a very solid distance man! We had wins, records and personal-bests, so it was a great way to finish off the regular season. The women destroyed our 4x4 record. Everyone ran very good legs to cap off a big day for the team. Celine led off to Ella [Chandler] to Gabby [Johnson] to Smilla [Kolbe]. It was an awesome run from the women. The men's 4x4 also ran a tremendous relay. They broke the school record and competed very well. It's great to see the progress in our sprint program. Smilla [Kolbe] set the facility record and we broke four school records. Tyshone [Bolden]'s jumped very well to win the high jump. He has consistently jumped near 2.00m, which also leads the ASUN."
