JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida softball put up lots of runs in each of their games with back-to-back victories against Middle Tennessee and Cleveland State at the JU-UNF Invitational on Saturday evening.
The Osprey pitching was the highlight of the night with
Macie Hunolt pitching a complete-game one-hitter against MTSU in a 6-0 win with the lone hit coming at the top of the seventh. Fellow freshman
Taylor Cook pitched four innings against Cleveland State, while
Cameron Ponich picked up her second win of the season plus a back-to-back strikeout showing in two batters faced from
Kylah Berry to close out the 6-2 win.
Allison Benning stayed hot from the plate in the second day of the weekend tournament with a two-run bomb in her first at bat against MTSU. She now has totaled six home runs over her first 11 games to start her 2025 campaign.
