RIO GRANDE, P.R. - North Florida men's golf continued a solid second round to start off the spring '25 season at the Puerto Rico Classic hosted by Purdue on Tuesday afternoon.
Filippo Serra was the low score for the Ospreys during day two in the Caribbean with a 3-under 69 score with five birdies and an eagle.
Brett Schell still headlines the leaderboard for UNF with a top-10 standing after an even-par 72 second round.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Brett Schell stayed consistent in the second round with 14 pars and back-to-back birdies to score 7-under 137 through the first 36 holes of the spring.
- The sixth-year player continues to lead the Ospreys in birdies with nine combined, along with a top-four par-three average score (2-under).
- Filippo Serra had a stellar showing that started with four straight pars, saw five total birdies, including the last hole of play, and highlighted by an eagle on the fifth hole.
- The redshirt sophomore has jumped up the player's leaderboard to placed tied for 32nd overall among the field.
- Jason Duff put up a string of pars, as well as a birdie on the fifth, to be placed just outside the top 50 at 3-over 147.
- Both Duff and Serra now have notched at least one eagle in their first pair of rounds to start the spring.
- Danny Erickson and Justin Ross eached earned a birdie on the front nine to both be at 7-over 151, as Ross now joins Schell for the team lead of 25 pars.
- The Ospreys goes into the final round with 111 total pars, 27 total birdies and 2 total eagles.
- UNF is one of four teams to have two or more holes resulting in eagles over the past two days.
