JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's soccer has inked three freshmen signees towards its 2026 class, as announced by Head Coach Eric Faulconer on Thursday afternoon.
Peyton Thomas, Briella Doyle and Ayva Scalese are the first three officially additions for the Ospreys to next year's roster. All three freshmen reside from the Sunshine State with Thomas residing from the Jacksonville area.
"We are excited to add these three incoming freshmen to our Osprey women's soccer family," Faulconer stated. "Peyton [Thomas] and Briella [Doyle] will be arriving in January, and I know our coaching staff is looking forward to working with them this spring."
"Peyton reminds me a lot of graduating senior Chloe [Lynch]. Like Chloe, she is extremely versatile and has a very high work rate," said Faulconer. "Briella is going to add a great physical presence to our backline. She is an outstanding distributor of the ball, especially over long distances. We think she still has lots of growth ahead of her and feel that she can make an immediate impact in our lineup."
"Ayva [Scalese] will arrive for preseason camp in July. Her style of play suits us very well. She is a possession-based midfielder with outstanding technical ability and has great vision," Faulconer continued. "All three will have an opportunity to compete for playing time right away and we are thrilled with these additions to our program."
