Stinson Led Ospreys With 14 Points and Four Three-Pointers
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - North Florida women's basketball (4-11, 0-2) held a lead going into the fourth quarter, but wasn't able to pull out its first ASUN in a heartbreaking 60-52 road loss against Austin Peay (6-7, 1-1) on Saturday afternoon.
Jamisyn Stinson led all Ospreys for the second time in three games with 14 points, including shooting 4-for-7 from range. She was also the first UNF player to hit double figures in scoring in her ASUN debut since 2021.

First Half: Ospreys earned the first five points of the game with free throws from Jazmine Spencer and a three-ball from Kaila Rougier...after a 10-0 run from the Governors, UNF responded with a seven-point run of their own with a jumper from Sydney Pettis and a trey by Jamisyn Stinson...going into the second quarter tied at 12, Stinson continued her scoring run for the Ospreys with another jumper and three-point combo...a pair of driving layups from Sarah Taub and Helena Rafnsdottir, plus a transition three from Nicole Carreno helped build the UNF lead to seven...last minute scores from Pettis and Spencer ended the first half for the Ospreys up by six points.
Second Half: Rougier opened the break with a made layup in between APSU scores...another run from UNF extended the lead to nine points, headlined by a long-distance three from Stinson...another pair of layups from Taub and Jasmynne Gibson held off an APSU scoring attack...after falling behind to start the fourth period, Spencer nailed a three-pointer to go back up by two...another three from Stinson cut the APSU lead to a one-possession game, but free throws down to stretch didn't fall the Ospreys' way in the 60-52 loss on the road.
